Patron Saint For Ovary

Bowling: ADRENALINE

We dreamed of this weekend, friends, canyoning, adventure, water, sun ..... and the dream became more than reality.

Friday 6 March

Cortijillo We reached the camping site, Eu, Nacho, Almudena, Jaime already on the attack again, and me.

There in the bar, waiting for us and JJ, Chico and Jesus, along with a group of kids Cieza also out of desire to spend big in this: "The Great Feast of the water."

http://ciezavertical.blogspot.com/

After dinner and enjoy a nice chat by the fire in the fireplace, we retire to see the photos that JJ had made moments before the dam at the Bowling ( untouchable at the moment) and rest.

Saturday 7 March

At 8 feet in a morning that made you want to mourn, but Joy. A sun, a temperature, a beauty .... joer, what a gift from heaven!

pick us up after breakfast and we went to the bar where Chris soon arrived, which was not seen since the Bco de la Magdalena (23 Nov'08), and Mariquita (aka The misleading), hehe.

Cieza's kids were going to Barranco del Tunisia, as we provide a neoprene and after we said goodbye to them, with .. "Now we are ..".

After a quick reflection, and since they were a group of 7 decided that the sensible thing was to change our plans and head to Barranco Seco planned initially for Sunday, and so we did. We arrived at the parking

1, we saw the flow out of the ravine and excited as they approached we moved 2 cars with 5 people who recognized immediately. Tono and his uncle were.

We salute and reoriented in their way, they were willing to descend the Barranco del Vulture and there was not.
Preparations before beginning the ascent: Moni, Jaime, Mariquita and Jesus, and I

started the beautiful ascent to the Barranco Seco not much fun without us trying to climb the 2 cars to the house and thus save us a long way upstream. It was impossible, the thick mud made us give up.
see who goes through here (the shot are the "red devil")

JJ and Moni
The approach to the landscape during the dry gully can not be prettier

When we reached the river, Jesus said that the flow was 3 times over 2 weeks ago when it fell to Berry and Pumuky.

Barranco piece in time piece!.

I can not describe the emotion, adrenaline and enjoy that every one of those who were there, we lived in each step of the great descent. JJ

Almu, about to be "swallowed"

Each waterfall was an adventure until we got to R4 (30m) which splits into 2 (R4 and R4 ').
At that point all the water is piped so that we outlined the possible withdrawal.

Jesus took his "Par", breathed deeply °, and fell under the watchful and tense look that I saw JJ a bad step down.
Jesus cried out to climb, but did not hear him as he managed to get close to the meeting of the R4. " JJ

continued after Chico and Europe, who had to, with their bodies, protect Jesus from Mangaze water at high pressure, which prevented him from approaching the meeting R4 '.
I
down the waterfall ... Jesus was already down
JJ

Other slowly went downhill, and as we arrived we were, crawling, cross under the barbarian JJ blast and hope to bring us the rope to the R4 'with a sling, and that when one is approaching the meeting, leaving virtually thrown to the rappel.
Where's Wally?

JJ endured too long at that point (it took its toll) and Nacho was in charge of recovering both strings not without great difficulty by the great force of water and the awkward position not allowed to look up.

Below rappels we were still 2 more and saw that the flow was increasing significantly. We should not wait to meet everyone, so we rode Eu the next rappel and headed down between the shock of the water.
Mariquilla

went down with obvious signs of fatigue and cold in the body, which caused a shock to another, but thanks to Europe, who said, he was alone in that.
pure Adrenaline

Moni in the last rappel ... can be better expressed happiness??

I in the last

Jesus
Soon our big smiles were the sun assimilating and sharing every minute lived. We were beyond excited!.
Moni, Jaime, and Chico Almu

deploy a camp in the middle of the road, and after giving tempt the body, we decided to approach the Vulture before going to the bar and see how it moved.
As "Peter for his home," there, "to" the middle of the road

Arriving and still see the 2 cars of the kids there, everyone thought the same are trapped!.

The Vulture is a ravine, which in normal conditions, invests just over an hour in his descent to a group of 5 people and it would take just over 4 hours there.

All I traveled through the top, screaming, but it was when James dropped a few feet, when he was caught in the handrail that leads to the last 2 and spectacular rappels (R9 and R10)
reassure
After we went to cars, we took the equipment, ropes and equipment needed, walkies Brand Nacho gave him and after a few stripes the sand by way of background, Juan, Jaime and Jesus identified the strategy.

So we lined up at the top of the right bank of the ravine.

found a very well-placed sheet (someone already out there) and a parabolt where we set another plate with rings attached to a rock bridge located and prepared Jaime, what would be triangulated the rescue facility for these 5 Burrowing.
'S GO: Unaaaaaaaa, doooooosssss and treeeeesssss. So the first girl out
Tono Taking

Juanjo down and, one by one and coordinated with the walkies and arms, the team managed to piece the kids do not spend the night there.

Well, now if that if ,.... "Come we go to the bar and get drunk and laugh at jokes that now Paco Pepe", lol.

Uyyyyyyyy!, What rarooo! It was 18.30 and the kids in Cieza had not yet returned from Tunisia.

gave us time and not finishing the first beer when he got the message that there were also problems.

lined up again to the door, watching the clock and knowing that soon, fall night. Were 19.00 h. We

the pipe where one of them, got out and gave the alarm, he explained the situation:

" had not yet reached the R5 when the flood overtook them in the ravine. Most experts were down until one of them was hit in the head to be pushed by the force of water and advised stunned those who were still up, do not continue to decline "

Thus, 4 managed to leave and 3 had to flee up a steep scree to a point where craggy and could no longer continue.

After assessing the situation we saw that it was better to alert rescuers and so we did, because although the ropes were installed to the end and we had climbing equipment, the amount of water that escape was impossible to climb the cliff for them.

We got home with the reassurance that all was well, and after showers and dinner we returned to see the rescue operation in light of the full moon, along with the kids and the villagers who were ordered to indicate, truthfully, the team from the Civil Guard Rescue Granada.

Incredible!, These men are not human.

How rose, How I found and rescued them!

astounded us all there were. And that we could only see his movements from the other side, through the powerful lamps that had, as we heard their voices in the quiet but busy night.
The 3 Burrowing were approximately the end of the fracture of the right
Thank you for being who you are and always be there looking after us all!
